MFCSC AGM & FIRST MEETING
The AGM was held on Friday 26th June at Links Park and a new committee has been nominated to help take the club forward for the next few years. There are a few familiar faces, but a number of new faces are on board and we are delighted to have an injection of fresh ideas/approaches. We are still keen to hear from any other interested parties who may be interested in helping out. The first committee meeting will be held at 12 noon on Sat July 10th at Links Park, ahead of the Raith Rovers pre season friendly. Anyone interested in helping out are encouraged to come along.
MFCSC BUSES TO PETERHEAD AND DUNDEE
With the new season racing up, we are pleased to confirm that we have booked buses to the Challenge Cup and CIS Cup matches in Peterhead and Dundee respectively. The bus to Balmoor leaves Montrose at 10am (to be confirmed) taking around 2 hours up to Peterhead (allowing for traffic and pickups on route). The Dundee bus will leave Montrose on 31st at 11am (to be confirmed) and shouldnt take much longer than an hour. It would be great to try and replicate the noisy Dyna-Mo army which travelled to Easter Road last year. You will also be able to book a place on the list at the upcoming preseason games at the Club Shop.
MEET THE MANAGER
Details are currently being finalised with regards to a Pre-Season Meet the Manager session with Steven Tweed and new assistant Ray Farningham. The session will enable fans to put Steven and Ray on the spot with any questions, queries or opinions on the upcoming season and future plans in an informal environment with bar facilities and a light snack. Confirmed date and time (21st July at 7pm) to be advised in the very near future.
FREE SEASON TICKETS FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN AT LINKS PARK
After the successful launch last season of free season tickets to local primary and secondary schools in Montrose and the Mearns area, Montrose Football Club are delighted to announce that they will once again be running the scheme for the forthcoming season. These tickets, which will be available shortly, will only be available through the schools themselves.
For those of us who are sadly not young enough to take advantage of this offer, the club has also announced that those who pay for a season ticket by 11th July 2010 will receive a 10% discount on the price of their ticket. Those interested in purchasing a ticket for season 2010/11 offline can do so at John D Crawford’s office at 72 New Wynd, Montrose, telephone 01674 67672064. Adult tickets are £155.00 with OAPS priced at £90.00 with members of the Gable Endies Club paying £260.00 and concessions paying £170.00. An online payment system is also very near to going live.
